Concurrent Enrollment

Concurrent Enrollment

Planning To Take An Enrichment or Community College Course?

Go to the website of the community college where you would like to take the class and look through their Schedule of Classes. To ensure that the courses you select will transfer cleanly to your future university, cross-reference them ahead of time using ASSIST.org. Make sure to choose meeting times that fit seamlessly around your high school responsibilities.

Scheduling Restrictions: Community college courses taken during the regular school year must be scheduled after all of your regular classes at Prospect have finished for the day. Outside courses cannot be substituted for classes required for high school graduation, and they will not be added to your high school transcript.

Under 18 Requirements: Community colleges require all students under 18 years of age to submit a signed concurrent enrollment form. This form must be obtained directly from your chosen community college and must be signed by your Prospect guidance counselor.

Next Steps: For any courses you plan to take outside of Prospect High School, please make sure to fill out and submit the CUHSD Concurrent Enrollment Acknowledgement Form attached to this page.
