Prospect High School will be administering the CAASPP Test beginning March 28 for Juniors and Seniors. Please see the schedule below for further details:
The test will be administered on student school Chromebooks so please make sure to bring Chromebooks on these dates and have it charged!
Why take this test?
Each spring, all 11th grade students in California take the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) and Mathematics. These assessments, which are administered as part of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) System:
- Serve as an indicator of readiness for college-level coursework in English and Mathematics AND
- Are used by the California State University (CSU) and participating California Community Colleges (CCCs) to determine Early Assessment Program (EAP) status.
Therefore, if you plan on attending a Community College or a CSU, it is imperative to take this exam. This will help determine placement into college level English & Math courses.
