Welcome Back to School, Panthers!  Make It Count!!

When you get back on campus, one of the first things you'll notice is a new look to the Panther on the A Building, facing Prospect Road.  Artist John Espinola (who painted the original panther) took our input about making the logo more fierce, more reflective of blue and gold, and more Panther-esque!  We hope you enjoy this updated Panther.

 

 

Prospect Homework Center starts next week.  Every afternoon except Fridays until 4 pm in the library.  Use a computer, printer, and get teacher help until 4 pm in the library.   The homework center in the library is perfect for quiet study or group projects or to get your homework done before sports practice.  Just sign in when you arrive and leave when you choose. 

 

Robotics Team: The Gearheads were recently featured in the San Jose Mercury News.  Click HERE to read the entire article and find out about the team, upcoming competitions, and what they're looking forward to in the year ahead.  It's not too late to join the Robotics Team.  See Mr. Slimack or Mac Ricardi for more information about the team.

 

Back to School Night is September 7th at 6pm.  Please come to meet your student's teachers, learn about the upcoming activities at Prospect, and to help us Make it Count in 2010-2011!

 

 

The Prospect Club Fair will be Friday, September 10th at lunch. If you are a club president or club member, be sure your club is ready for this full recruiting event.

 

 

The First Prospect PTSA Meeting for this year will be in the Staff Lounge at 7 PM on Tuesday, September 14 at 7 PM.  The Parent Teacher Student Association organizes volunteers and fundraises to support all aspects of Prospect, such as scholarships to students, teacher mini-grants and hospitality to name just a few.  Last year our big effort was the Every 15 Minutes Drunk Driving Program.   Please join us.  The meetings are always interesting and informative.

 

Seniors, don’t get left out of the yearbook this year!  Make sure you make your appointment for your senior portrait with Pro Image Studios by October 2nd.  To make the appointment, call 408.269.3677.
