PSAT test opportunity for current 10th & 11th graders

Prospect will be holding the PSAT/NMSQT assessment on Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The test will run from 8:30 am to 11:30 pm.

Interested 10th and 11th graders that would like to sign-up for the PSAT/NMSQT must reserve a seat by submitting the linked Google form.

The test will be completely digital and students will need to have a fully charged Chromebook and charger to bring on test day.

Students who are requesting to use their IEP/504 accommodations for testing must sign up by FRIDAY, AUGUST 18th.  After that date, accommodation requests cannot be provided.  Students with IEP's and 504's may also choose to test with no accommodations.

The FINAL deadline to sign up for the test is 3:00 pm on Monday, September 4th.

The cost will be $20 for all students who sign up for the test.  Any student who qualifies for the Panthers' Financial Aid program are eligible for a fee waiver for the cost of the test.  (An application MUST be submitted for financial aid prior to the testing date).

Students who need to cancel their test registration must do so by September 4th. No refunds will be issued if students do not take the test on October 14th.  Students will be billed for tests that were ordered and not canceled prior to September 4th.

Students will be sent an email to confirm their test registration no later than September 5th.  This will include payment information, which will be due prior to the test date.  No payments will be due until this confirmation is sent.

More information regarding the specifics of the PSAT/NMSQT testing day will be sent closer to the day of the test, but please plan to arrive on campus for the test no later than 8:00 am so that students may get signed in and the test may begin on time.

PSAT Study Guide

Students who want to apply to 4-year colleges should take at least one of the nationally recognized standardized tests called the ACT or SAT? Taking the PSAT will give you an idea of how you will perform on the SAT or ACT. Plus, CollegeBoard provides a breakdown of a student's results so that you can better prepare for the SAT or ACT.

NOTE:

• All SAT/ACT: tests must be completed by December senior year for most other college admissions. 
• PSAT: for sophomores & juniors is in October  

Additional Information:

• Still focus on academics! Grades do count senior year.

• Pay attention to the deadlines for all applications (admissions, housing, financial aid, scholarships etc...)

• If testing, be sure to send your SAT, SAT Subject test and/or ACT scores to the colleges you're applying to:

• Many schools allow you to self-report your test scores. Know which schools allow you to self-report will save you money. All schools will ask for test score upon admittance.
