Prospect Brass Ensemble at the City of Cupertino Tree Lighting ceremony on December 3rd (outside)
 
Where = Quinlan Community Center in Cupertino - 10185 N Stelling Rd. Cupertino, CA 95014
Instrumentation = (All Prospect brass students)
Attire = Warm, PHS Blue Polos & Jackets
Music = Holiday music 
Crowd = 150 - 200+ people
 
Schedule
* 5:00pm - Meeting in front of the Community Center
* 5:00pm - 5:20pm - Warm up and Tune
* 5:30pm - 6:00pm - Perform prior to Tree Lighting
* 6:00pm - 6:15pm - Tree Lighting (reset ensemble in activities area)
* 6:30pm - 7:45pm (Approx) - Perform during after tree lighting activities  (food, crafts and pictures with Santa, etc..)
 
Need to Bring
* Instrument(s)
* Portable music stand (I have a few I can lend to students)
* Stand light (just in case)
*** Chairs will be provided by the Community Center
 
* Have fun with the performance. Decorate your instruments with lights and such. Dress festively.
 
 
 

 

Prospect at Christmas in the Park on December 5th (outside)
 
Where = Plaza de Cesar Chavez, 194 South Market Street San Jose, California 95113
Instrumentation = (All Prospect Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Jazz & Choir students)
Attire = Warm, PHS Blue Polos & Jackets
Music = Holiday Concert music 
Crowd = 2,000+ people
 
Schedule
* 4:00pm - Meeting in front of the Community Stage (More info and maps to follow)
* 5:00pm - Start Setting up chairs and stands 
* 5:00pm - 5:10pm - Warm up and Tune
* 5:15pm - 6:30pm - Performance
* 6:30pm - 6:50pm - Help pack up chairs and stands

All-State Honor Music Students

Congratulations to the following Prospect HS students who made the 2021 All-State Conference Honor Ensembles. These students are to be recognized among the top high school students at the state level.

 
    • Parthiv Krishnan 11, Clarinet - HS Concert Band 
    • Mason Chesser 10, Percussion - HS Symphonic Band 
    • Matthew Bailey 11, Cello - HS String Orchestra 
    • Felipe Feldman 10, Tenor Saxophone
 
Beginning each fall, over 70,000 high school students across the state audition in their region. The highest-ranking musicians judged qualify to perform in one of California's All-State Bands, Orchestras, and Choirs. These All-State ensembles rehearse for three days, directed by nationally recognized conductors, and perform on the closing day of the annual CASMEC (California All-State Music Education Conference).
