$4,000 will be proportionately awarded to the Top 5 applicants.  Must have 3.50 GPA by the end of the 3rd quarter.  Must have been accepted at an accredited college or university.  Must attend PPBS Scholarship Banquet on 10/25/2008. Must be wholly or partially of Filipino ancestry.

Three scholarships of $500 each to three graduating high school seniors of Chinese descent who have exhibited great academic abilities and commitment to community service. Applicant must submit no more than 500 words on “Is China’s One Family One Child policy necessary?” and a handwritten autobiography in 100 words or less. The Charlie Cords Memorial Scholarship is offered to male students entering UC Berkeley during the 2007-08 school year. Awards are up to $2000 per student. Recipients of these awards will be selected based on academic and extracurricular achievement, and more importantly, on personal qualities relating to the Delta Upsilon organization (promotion of friendship, development of character, diffusion of liberal culture, advancement of justice).
